Yeah, this will probably get stored in a box never to see the light of day again LOL! Self portraits are extremely difficult. There is this mental stress every time I try it.
“Does this actually look like me?”
“Did I make myself prettier than I really am?”
“Did I focus on my flaws more than I should have?”
“It isn’t that bad…”
“This looks nothing like me…”
“I should trash it and never try again.”
I figured today was a good day to take the camera with me to grab a few photos. They are very random, but I love the snow, so I couldn’t help myself! I am hoping we get a little more snow so I can wander to another spot for some more shots.
We are home from our trip to Bonn, Germany! It was interesting, to say the least LOL!
First off, we all got the flu… Lovely way to start a vacation, let me tell ya. We spent the entire first week in the bed and drinking lots of hot tea with honey. After a while, I started getting a little cabin fever from sitting in the same room for that long. Yeah, fun…
It wasn’t snowing yesterday, so we went out and grabbed a few clearer photos of the snow. I think I am finally starting to get the hang of my camera, though I still need to figure out when to use what settings. I still needed a lot of post-op work to adjust colors and contrast.
Winter is my favorite time of year! As if you didn’t already know that… haha 😝
We went out today to grab some photos and the blizzard began! It snowed the whole time we were out! It is hard to capture good photos while it is snowing, but I did my best. The cloud cover and the low visibility made for an interesting effect, though, so I am not complaining.
The snow, the ambience, the serenity… What more could you ask for!? I am sure that the people around here are cursing my name because I asked for snow early this year. And boy, did I get it! I am cranky pretty much year round… until the snow falls. This is the only time I feel like myself!
This year, when I took my annual trip to the States, I decided to stop through Oregon to see a couple of friends. That is a stunning state to visit, I do have to admit! The scenery changes every 30 minutes. Mountains, ocean, desert, plains, everything is there to see. I grabbed a few pictures to show my travels 😀
On Monday, July 4th, I will be taking a trip to the states. I make this trip every year, but this time I will be making a “side quest” to Oregon! I am sure LOADS of photos will come!
I will only have 4 days in Oregon, so my camera will be pretty much an extra appendage. Hell, sounds good to me! It’s been a while since I got any new photography. I may even see about getting a cheap tripod for some decent shots. We shall see.
